Practical Web Tips – Wordpress Tutorials – Making Your Own Website

iPhoto iconApple iPhoto is a fantastic little program that makes managing your photos, making slide shows and sharing images a real joy. This short Screencast training movie will show you how to optimize your images for the web with this app.

Here are the steps in point form:

  1. Create a album and/or select only the photos that you want to optimize. (hold down the Command key to select and de-select the images you want, or choose EDIT > SELECT ALL if you have them all in one album)
  2. Choose FILE > EXPORT.
  3. Keep the selection on File Export, then choose Kind: JPEG, JPEG Quality: Medium, Size: Medium (or to your choosing)
  4. Export and Tell your mac where to put the images.

Done! Now you can upload to your WordPress site or MySpace or wherever.
