People ask me quite often, “How do I edit or add links and images to MySpace or Facebook pages?”

So here it is. An accessible way to create links, display inline images and formatted text in MySpace or any page that accepts HTML.

First you will need to download 2 free tools:

  1. TinyMCE editor – http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/download.php (Main package at the top of the page)
  2. FCKEditor – http://www.fckeditor.net/download (Pick the latest stable release)

Unzip these 2 downloads and put them somewhere on your computer where they can stay put.

Open these files (in red) in the downloaded folders to get started.

  • FCKeditor – open : fckeditor >> _samples >> default.html
  • TinyMCE editor – open : tinymce >> examples >> index.html

Next we need to bookmark the index files noted above in Firefox for quick access whenever we need a HTML editor.Do I need to say Firefox? Alright then heres the download link again.

Apologies for the coughing and spluttering on this tutorial, I had a cold at the time.:-(
